What's in a name
CAEEDAR takes its name from everything this building was built to be — and everything Cobourg already is. Find the town's concerts, markets and lakefront events at Experience Cobourg, then come home to an apartment built to match: geothermal-efficient, and right in the middle of it all.
Our core pillars

Living in Cobourg
A town people move to, not through.
People who move here from the city tend to describe the same first week. The drive to work is ten minutes instead of an hour. The beach is at the end of the street. You start recognising faces at the grocery store. Nobody is in a hurry.
What Cobourg does not ask you to give up is the good part of a town. King Street is lined with independent shops, restaurants and cafes in a heritage conservation district built around Victoria Hall — a National Historic Site from 1860 that still puts on concerts and theatre. There is a farmers’ market, the Capitol Theatre, a marina and yacht club, and a summer calendar that runs from the Waterfront Festival to the Sandcastle Festival.
And when you do need Toronto, it is an hour down the 401, or a train ride from the VIA station in town.

Energy efficient by design
No heating bill. Ever.
CAEEDAR is heated and cooled by geothermal, drawing steady temperatures from the ground instead of burning gas. Heat, cooling and water are built into your rent, so there is no furnace bill in January and no air conditioning bill in July. Insulated glazing holds that temperature where you set it. The only utility you set up is electricity.
Over 70% lower greenhouse gas emissions by design — about 52 tonnes a year kept out of the air.

Questions people ask
Mostly from people moving out of the city.
How far is Cobourg from Toronto?
About an hour east on Highway 401. There is also a VIA Rail station in town and a GO bus connection to Oshawa, so you can get in without driving.
What is included in the rent?
Heat, cooling and water. The building runs on geothermal heating and cooling, so there is no furnace bill in January and no air conditioning bill in July. You set up electricity, and choose your own internet, phone and cable.
How much are the apartments?
Suites start at $1,595 a month for a studio and run to $2,350 for a two bedroom, with one bedroom and one bedroom + den in between. Prices and availability change as suites are leased — the list above is current.
Is it really walking distance to the beach and downtown?
Yes. The building is at 325 University Ave W in the Sinclair Park neighbourhood. West Beach and the waterfront are a short walk, and so are the shops, restaurants, Victoria Hall and the Capitol Theatre on King Street.
Are there accessible suites?
Yes. Barrier-free suites are available in several layouts, and the building has elevator access throughout. Accessibility is the second letter of the name.
What is the parking situation?
Underground parking is $100 a month and outdoor parking is $60. Storage lockers are $65, and there is EV charging on site plus a bike lock-up.
